Glass fabricators will be interested in the patented rapid height adjustment system. This option allows the machine operator to raise the upper section in one second from 1/4" to 1/2" (6.4 to 12.7 mm) glass. To adjust 1/2" to 3/4" (12.7 to 19 mm) glass also takes only one second.
The corrosion resistance of horizontal machines has been enhanced by adding stainless steel to the spray compartment walls and to the brush and roller journals. We also use non-corrosive re-circulating pumps, and have located all bearings outside the wet area.
To enhance the drying capability, the air blast drying system has been completely redesigned. As a result, glass can be loaded on the conveyor in a squared position, and dried. Some competitive washers require the glass be loaded on the conveyor in a diagonal position so the trailing edge can be dried.
Capacity: Accepts glass in any shape with a single dimension of 5-1/2" (139.7 mm) from 0.50" to 3/4" (1.27 to 19 mm). Variable line speed is five to 35' (1.5 to 10.7 m) per minute.
Brushes: Brushes are 6" (152.4 mm) diameter by 84" (2.13 m) long with spiral wound bristles. Brush height is adjustable and they are V-belt driven.
Drying System: Air blast drying system uses 10HP pressure blower. It pressurizes plant air and forces it through top and bottom blast tubes to dry both surfaces of the glass. The baffled enclosure covered drying system reduces noise.
Rollers: Solid rubber covered conveyor feed and pinch rollers throughout machine.
Bearings: Heavy duty, standard ball bearing units insure long life and are readily available for easy replacement.
Frame: Frame is a steel weldment, consisting of an entry conveyor section, main washing section, and an exit conveyor section. Tilt-top design for easy maintenance.
Electrical: Control panel is built to NEMA 12 specifications to meet OSHA requirements. Every panel is UL approved. Power requirements are 3 phase, 60 cycle, 208, 230, and 460 volt. International voltages are available on special order.
Water: One spray pipe per brush applies the detergent solution or water. Threaded pipe plug ends allow easy cleaning. Water consumption with miser rinse is about 3.7 GPM.
Options: Re-circulated detergent system, miser rinse system, hydraulic power tilt, de-ionized water protection package and an induction static eliminator are all available.
